For those growers that have bought already or are interested in taking the next step we have lined up 4 tips for maximizing your LED grow lights:

STEP 1: water consumption

When switching from HID to LED you will find that your plants will use much less water due to a cooler room.  Monitor your plants for the first week and adjust your automated water systems.

STEP 2: Mounting Height

Switching to LED you will find that you can have the lights much closer to your plants since they don't give off as much heat.  This is a benefit to the plants as you can increase the amount of light getting to the lower buds, increasing your yields.

STEP 3: Ventilation

You will not need as much ventilation when switching to led lights as less is emitted from the panels. This saves on your energy costs.

Step 4: Light Cycles

During the growth stage you want to provide 18 hours of light for maximum growth.  When you switch to the flowering stage, provide 12 hours a day of light.  This will force your crop to begin flowering.
